It's nice to see the blog back up and running, as I'm sure you all would agree. Right? Right. Right!

Okay, so I had a nice lazy weekend. I'm thinking of buying a digital camera for out here, to, ya know, take pictures with. If anybody has any recommendations/horror stories, then hey, feel free to let me know. I was pricing them out online, but I think what I'm gonna do is go to the mall, look at some cameras, take some notes, and then come back home and order them online for cheaper prices. We shall see.

Anyways, I'm at the office now. I just got in. It only took me a half hour to get here today, which was damn nice compared to the hour plus it took last time. I guess I should leave at a little before 9 every day. It's weird though, cause my goal is to get here at 10, but if I leave right at 9 I'm a little late, but if I leave a little before 9, I get here a half hour early. Oh well, early is always better anyways as far as jobs go. Looks like commitment, right?

Okay, I'm gonna watch TV, sit online, and answer phones, like my job requires. Seeya

Updating from work today. It's been pretty laid back cause Tony Scott's out of town for the week. He gets back monday.

It turns out I'm working a M-W-F and Tu-Th rotating schedule, which is pretty slick, cause it gives me lots of free time to do fun stuff, like be stuck in LA traffic! On that note, My roughly 9 mile drive to work today took just about an hour. Real traffic, I hardly knew ye. I think I already need to put gas in my car, which blows, but whatever.

Earlier I was tryin to get the Phoebster to come out and visit me here, but I guess that's not gonna happen. For those of you who don't KNOW who the Phoebster is, she is Phoebe, my girlfriend. I know, I know, eww george has a girlfriend, who would date him, etc etc. Screw you guys. Heh.

So that whole london thing today was pretty frightening, but I'm not too worried about the Brits. Like Blair said, they took way worse poundings in WWII, so this isn't anything new to them. The only difference is they knew the german rockets were coming every day. Terrorists strike by surprise. Whatcha gonna do.

I'm out this mofo.

So my friend from hopkins, lindsey, invited me to a party last night in Brentwood (i think it was called). It was a fouth of july pool party dealio, and her friend, lisa, was planning the whole shebang. Lisa works as a regular on family guy, one of my favorite shows. How could I say no to this party, right?

So I get there, and it's pretty chill. Lots of fashionably cool looking people doing fashionably cool looking things. Not really my crowd, as anybody who knows me should know. So an hour or so goes by, im having fun, playing pool and what have you, when I see this dorky looking guy in the corner that I KNOW I've seen before. I walk over and introduce myself, and lo and behold I'm talking to Seth MacFarlane, of family guy and american dad, and fox tv legend. Being the two dorkiest people at this party, he and I chilled together for a few hours, talking shop, politics, and generally making fun of the people we saw around us.

The night comes to and end, and I mention that we should hang out again some time. He agrees, and notes that since we have a mutual friend in Lisa, I should just get a hold of her and she can throw us all another party. Pretty cool, huh?

By the way, this house was amazing. It was like three stories built into a hillside, but then you went down the hill a good 200 or 300 feet through was was essentially a jungle, and you got to the pool and poolhouse. It was really slick. Living there would totally get me into shape.

Wooo first california update. First off, I definitely need to buy a digital camera to take pictures of all the stuff out here. The weather's beautiful today (lol every day), and im sitting next to the pool on somebody else's wireless connection, listening to the yankees. Stupid time difference. I already want to live here. My parents are gonna wanna hear that. They wanted to watch my grandkids one day. Guess they'll have to move!

Today we're having a big time independance day party at the house. Ok, first off, this house looks like it should be on cribs. It's amazing. Wine cellar, three level waterfall pool in the back yard with a slide and a swim up bar, which is right by the massive grill built into the granite table top. I was in awe. Shit, I AM in awe. This needs to be my house one day. Then you can all come visit me and we can throw sexy parties.

Okay, I gotta go do stuff, cause after all, I didn't come out here to do nothing! Seeeeya

I'm updating my blog today from my new laptop. I am quite pleased with the purchase, most notably with the price. It was a little under $600, and the stats are as follows: 1.3 GHz intel celeron processor, 256 mg pc 2700 RAM, 40 gig HD, integrated wireless, etc. Newegg had a sale on notebook memory, so I ordered another gig of it. It's funny because my laptops gonna have more memory than my desktop. Funny huh? Right.

My parents' offices' clambake was tonight, and that was fun. They had kareoke (sp?) which of course I was forced to do by Lea and my sister and Kateri. Oh well. The best of the couple songs we did was slide by the Goo Goo Dolls. Makes me really miss the mental notes. Gah. No fun. But on a positive note I'll be in california on july 2nd! W00t, as Margaret is oft to say. Ok, I'm gonna get back to watching baseball. Lata

Man, I had the weirdest dream the other night. I was telling one of my friends about it, and I decided to write about it here. I drempt I was in a public place, watching these two little kids. I think it might have been my Goddaughter and her little brother, I can't remember. Anyways, I was sitting on the ground playing with them, and I looked up to this sort of tall, angular looking asian guy staring down at me. I smiled and said hi, and he pulled out a gun and shot me through the chest. Now, it's kind of hard to describe how it felt. It was hot, but not too hot, and sort of felt liquidy, like a waterbaloon breaking against my chest. Then everything went black and I woke up. It was creepy as fuck because the first thing I did was feel my chest. It was still hot in that one spot, and I swear the first thing I did was check for blood. It was a little disconcerning, but surprisingly calm. It was very, "Okay, I'm dead now. Where's God?" It was one of the oddest things I've ever drempt, and trust me, I've dreamed up some weird shit.

Anyways, that'll all I've got for now. Back to playing party poker for fake money. Seeya

Huzzah my reading faithful, and welcome back to my semi-regular blog. Yes my blog is like a girl's period; it comes once a month and it makes you want to bleed. Wait, that's not right. Not at all.

Where the hell was I!? Phoebe was up here this past weekend. We went up to my camp in the 1000 islands, which was hella fun. Played some tetherball at TI park. You know how we be.

Anywho, I'll be out in LA starting July 2nd, for those of you who keep asking. I'll be out there till August 5th, at which point I will triumphantly return to the great white north (average summer temperature this year over 90) and begin to ready myself for the upcoming academic season.

I promise more updates whenceforth I reach the left coast. How better a way for all my friends to keep up with me!? I know, nobody wants to keep up with me. It's fine. I've grown to accept that.

I would like to take this opportunity to note that the Spurs WILL win the finals, and the yankees are beginning their comeback on the shoulders of Jason Giambi. That's right, you heard it here first. Dammit, we hate the bastard, but if he's gonna win games and get RBI's, then I think I can find a place in my heard for him. The cold, dead part of it from that heart attack, but a place nontheless.

OKAY! I'm off to watch various sporting events which are currently taking place AT THIS VERY MOMENT! Huzzah again, I say! Hasta

Well, it's really been quite some period of time since I last updated hasn't it? I had to read my last entry to figure out exactly where it was that I last did. Lemme see if I can put new stuff since then.

I got the internship I was looking for in LA, so I'll be there working for Totem Productions in July and August. I'm really looking forward to it, and if you live in LA and wanna hang out, just drop me a line and we will!

Concert was awesome, us per the Mental Notes standard. It was great to see so many alumni back (I have to say that. Curt reads my blog like a maniac. Hi Curt!). No, but it really was a blast. Our theme this semester was pop stars who had sold out. I was Bono. Blue glasses, leather jacket, slicked back hair, the works. In fact I got the jacket, which kicks ass, at a retro clothing story that was having a sale for $35 bucks, which kicks even MORE ass.

Ok, once finals are over, and I have more time in which to do so, I'll update much more frequently. Stay tuned. Same George time, same George channel. Er. Blog. Right.

I really want to update because on days when I update, and a few days thereafter, my blog readership skyrockets from 5-6 people a day to a whopping 15+. Impressive, I know, but before you give me shit, how many people read YOUR website every day. That's what I thought. Bitch.

Scavelli called me from PJ's a little while ago to point out that he was there with his intellectual properties class and professor, and drinking on a fake ID as always. That is why Hopkins is so damn classy. Because you can go with your professors to a bar, and have the school pick up the tab for pitchers and pizza. God bless $40k a year.

The last few days the weather's been beautiful down here. Even though it's raining now, it's a nice change. My windows finally open, and I can smell pizza and grease coming in my window from the bar exaust vent below. It's an amazing smell to say the least, and it beats the hell out of the smell of gasoline I usually get from all the constuction next door.

I found out my IFP teacher from this semester is teaching an IFP section next semester. Cha-ching. That prospect is beautiful to me because she loves me. She's actually helping me find internships in LA, along with reading my resume (pardon the lack of an accent), figuring out what I can bullshit on it, and hopefully writing me a letter of recommendation.

I sat down the other day to write a story for said IFP class, and realized that I didn't have any really strong ideas. I ended up doing it and getting out 8 pages of what I think to be garbage (we'll see how it turns out Monday), but that fact that I KNOW I have good ideas and just can't remember them really stood out to me. It was enough to prompt me to swing by the bookstore and get a little notebook which, henceforce, will be kept in my back left pocket, on the opposite side of my ass from my wallet. That, coupled with a pen in my front right pocket, (I have a system. Shut up.) should guarantee that I don't miss anything of importance during the course of a day. That's refreshing to me, because I'll be writing lots of stuff next year and for the rest of my life. Hell, maybe a couple of them might even make good blog entries. We'll see if you guys get that lucky.

I think that's enough for now. Honestly. I spoil you guys. Hasta.

Wow so it's been a while eh? Baseball season is now underway, which means I'll always have something to listen to pretty much every day from 1 PM on :). That make's me very, very happy. Not to mention that the Yanks have opened up against the sox, and are 2-0 so far. An excellent start if I do say so myself.

I'll update some more later. I gotta run now to the library. Peace.
