Adam Carolla's Podcast

I've been super tired lately. I'm going to bed on time. I think it's more that I'm right on the potential brink of illness, and me being tired is my body's way of saying "dont push it too hard or I'm gonna totally get sick on you and THEN YOU'LL FEEL BAD."

Once again, I pushing Adam Carolla's podcast, which has risen to #1 on the iTunes podcast charts. Here's the link again.

Spring training baseball started up today. Yankees beat Toronto, which is always good to see. Not that it means a damn thing.

I spent an hour and a half today taking apart, cleaning, and putting back together a broken scanner in the reserve's department here at the library. Honestly, it was interesting, and God knows I love taking shit apart. Plus, it beats scanning for an hour and a half (mercifully cut back from 2.5 hours due to budget). Could be worse.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Harvard. I have to call them apparently, as they haven't answered their God damn email yet. Frustrating.

It's almost 6 AM and I can't sleep. Rockin'.

One of the best radio personalities I've ever had the auditory pleasure of hearing, Adam Carolla, did his last episode of "The Adam Carolla Show" on Friday. Ever since I was a little kid, I've listened to talk radio, and Adam's radio is some of the highest quality radio I can ever remember. That's not to be confused with doing "good radio" which is more than anything, bullshit.

Anyway, everyone needs to check out Adam's Podcast. Send it to friends, send it to family. SEND IT! It's amazing and needs our continued support.

Anyway, I'm gonna try and sleep.

Slow day at the library. Such is working at a library in the summer.

I'm very excited about Restaurant Week coming up! If anyone has any recommendations as to where I should try, I'd love to hear them. Just email me and let me know. I think I'd really like to hit up Ruths Cris again...haven't been there in years.

Anyway, I do have SOME work to do.

Alright, I've decided my life is mundane enough to keep this going again. Where to begin?

This past weekend was the G.O.A.T. festival, and it was of course a shit show of epic proportions, as is to be expected. It was good to see the guys again, even if it was for a brief, somewhat hazy two and a half days.

I've run into some weird problems at the library recently involving work. Recently, the proposal of a four day, 37.5 hour work week (fulltime) was brought up, but then quickly shot down. Also, due to weirdness in library politics, I may or may not get asked to replace the film reference librarian as a film blogger for the library website. It's all very up in the air right now, though I know for sure I'd be really interested in doing it. It has to do with going over my boss' boss' head or something bullshit like that. Honestly it's just kind of ridiculous. I can't stand people taking offense to things like that. Frankly the mere fact that I'm blogging while at work seems to be potential grounds for dismissal, but, honest to God, who the fuck works all 7.5 hours of their day? I'd like to meet that person. Though I doubt they'd hire me.

So I'm in the middle of putting together my resume, so I can eventually get a job that makes some sort of money, instead of just relying on my good looks and charm. Actually, I'll still rely on those too, but I figure a resume can't hurt. It's just such a bitch to get in the right format so that everything fits the way it should and I don't forget anything or accidentally include something that shouldn't be there or some other such manner of bullshit. As my favorite pirate in a bar with a steering wheel would say, "ARRRR IT'S DRIVIN' ME NUTS!"

Ok so I haven't had the time to update the new site, and I doubt I'm going to be able to until this summer when I likely don't have a job, so until then, I'm coming back to the old site!

Word. Keep your eyes peeled for updates, bitches.

Woo it's been a crazy week. I've been working every day the last few weeks, and it's been nuts, but fun. Two highlights to point out:

1) Met Lucy Liu in Jerry Bruckheimer's waiting room. It's a funny story really. See, Jason, another intern, and I were putting together a light for the audition room. Tony (Scott) said it was too dark and he wanted some light. Well, he's the boss. So were sitting there in the waiting area assembling this thing, and in walks Lucy. She was all cool, she knew Jason from doing Domino with Tony, and I introduced myself. She asked what we were doing, and after watching us trying to put this thing together for a little while, she decided to take over and put it together. And yeah, she did. That was fun.

2) I talked to Ron Jeremy on the phone today. He called looking for Pete or Mike. That was cool.

I'm coming home later this week, and today's actually my last day, and I'm spending the next three days at SIGGRAPH at the LA convention center. That should be awesome. Alright ,peace for now.

It's been far too long since I've updated, considering I pretty much spend every other day sitting at home. Lets see what I've got here.

If you clicked the link in my profile to get to my blog, then I'd like you to take a look one line down from it at my webshots pictures. I've got pictures from home (Burbank), the drive to work, and work itself. All in all lots of fun.

I've been doing a ton of running around today, from the New Line Cinemas offices to the wine store to pick up a $180 dollar bottle of champagne to the photo shop to pick up some prints Tony wanted done.

We ordered lunch out again today, but the bastards forgot my Chicken Caesar salad. It's okay though cause Mike gave me his BBQ Chicken salad instead, as he was heading out anyways. I tried to get him to keep it insisting I could make some food in the kitchen, but he insisted right back. So I ate it! It was pretty good.

Ok, I'm gonna get back to work now. Catch ya later!
